Description
Fine set of after-hours jazz recorded in Stockholm in October 1954. "Busman's Holiday" features Roy Haynes (drums), Sahib Shihab (sax), Bjarne Nerem (sax), Ake Persson (trombone), Adrian Acia (piano), Joe Benjamin (bass). This is '50s modern jazz, not hard bop, not way-out: Very listenable!
EmArcy Records catalog #MG-26048. This is a 10" LP. This a monaural vinyl disk, not a CD!
We test-play all used LPs on a high-end Technics turntable fitted with a Shure M97XE cartridge, tracking at 1.5 grams.
Disk grading: Very Good Plus / Excellent Minus. The disk has been cleaned. It has bright surfaces; no static; no serious scratches. The only noticeable surface noise is some crackling during the run-in to track two side two. Otherwise this disk has surprisingly quiet surfaces.
Sleeve grading: Very Good Plus. Minor scuffing, some ring wear, light edge wear. No splits. This disk was originally sold with no inner sleeve. A 12" plastic inner sleeve has been provided by the seller to protect the disk.
