Description

Roy Haynes (with Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Henry Grimes, Tommy Flanagan) OUT OF THE AFTERNOON Impulse A-23 Stereo original Orange and Black label.  Disc plays M-:  very strong and clean.  Very small bit of wrinkle warpage is not audible at any part of either side. Impulse sleeve is of a later vintage.  Jacket is M-.  Drilled in lower right.  No wear whatsoever.  I'm amazed that the corners stayed this crisp getting to the store, let alone 50 years after purchase... Incredibly sharp example of this iconic work.


Here’s the third of about 40 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well.  Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
