Description
I want to make clear first that I am not a record expert. My boyfriend's grandparents had a box of 78 records and we are now selling them on eBay so that they can once again be enjoyed. They have been sitting in this box for years and years. In fact we had to go out and buy a brand new 78 record player in order to test these, to ensure each one played properly before listing them.
These records have not been played for at least 20 years and have been played once each on a brand new record player in order to test them out. They do play properly. I have made recordings of each one and can send a short part of the song on request to demonstrate the level of quality the record has.
We have I would say about 100 records in this box and will be listing each one in the coming days, please check back to see all of the options.
As we are not record experts, I am only using a gentle microfiber cloth on each one to wipe any dust off of it before playing. I am not attempting any cleaning or other work, so that I do not inadvertently damage the record. The records were in a box and do not have any cleanliness issues beyond a slight dust. They do seem to have fingerprints on them and very slight wear. I think a proper cleaning with soap and water would get most of those issues off of them.
