Up for sale is a really rare 78 rpm shellac 10 inch record, from 1951, featuring Russ Scott (accompanied by the The Outriders), who was Roy Roger's cousin.  In fact, Roy Rogers co-wrote (with Russ) one of the songs on this record!

As indicated above, Roy Rogers and Russ Scott co-wrote the song "Why Won't You Love Me".  It is a solid tune, well performed.
An unexpected pleasure on this record is the song "Playtime Cowboy", which is about the fantasy western world of a young boy who watches television (presumably the Roy Rogers Show!).  It is a delightful song.
According to the website of IMDB, Russ Scott was born in 1912 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  His given name was Russell Stanley Slye.  In addition to being a singer and songwriter, Russ was an actor who appeared in 41 episodes of the Roy Rogers Show (playing a variety of roles, most frequently a "henchman", between 1952 and 1957), as well as on the Mickey Rooney Show (1 episode in 1954) and the Schlitz Playhouse (1 episode in 1956).  He died in 1990 in Humboldt County, California.
