Roy Wright – ‘Hook, Line & Sinker’ / James Robbins – ‘I Can’t Please You’ – Mica 2016 (US)

 

No introduction necessary, an absolutely suberb Chicago stomper here, a classic release on deejay Al Benson’s legendary Mica label. Flipside is not to be sniffed at either, James Robbins’ ‘I Can’t Please You’, also released as by Jimmy Robins on Jerhart 207 (“Tomorrow’s Hits Today”). Two wonderful sides back-to-back and a top copy, don’t miss it.  

Condition: VG+ close to Excellent, essentially as good as these occasionally rough sixties pressings out of Chicago get; some inaudible scuffs and a little dust, that’s all (please listen to the clips). Basically clean labels, slightly smudged on the Jimmy Robbins side (please see scan).

Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional US $11.00 per parcel to cover a total value not exceeding $80.00. The surcharge is US $16.00 for a total value of up to $1,550.00 (which is the maximum). Please get in touch for further combined shipping rates.

Shipping from Sweden is  expensive – though the rest of the world is surely catching up – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.

American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is  not US $4.00; this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please use the postage rates above, or wait for my invoice. Thank you!
