As featured in Stranger Things 4, Running up that Hill original included. RARE! KATE BUSH This Woman’s Work Anthology 1978 - 1990

6 Album LP vinyl Box Set with booklet and stickers.

So,I bought this in 1990 from an Our Price shop in Somerset being a huge Bush fan(still am!)

Cost me a small fortune back then but was so pleased to have a pristine set of albums.  If you've just discovered Kate this is the ultimate original set!!

I taped the albums and have never played them again.

The idea was to dig them out when my original copies got a bit long in the tooth but along came CD’s!!

They have been in an unopened box since then and have stayed with me, the original owner since 1990!

It’s time to give these a good home I think.

I have searched for other copies for sale and discovered how incredibly rare mine are and in excellent condition compared to some others out there around the world.

EMI UK in 1990

Extremelyrare official UK nine vinyl LP boxed set.

It appears the 3 unique volumes of unreleased material were produced for this boxset only and the other 6 albums were stock EMI as some LP of this set are from"Fame" EMI UK reissue series.

28 page photo booklet and original sticker sheet in Near Mint condition.

All Discs, covers and sleeves are Near Mint condition apart from a couple of signs of age.

These are small, light brown humidity spots on the inner cover of Never Forever andthe inner sleeve of The Sensual World (see photos)

I’ve looked up another of these box sets for sale and the dots appear on that aswell in almost the exact places only. It must have been that paper stock that was more susceptible.   

Outer Box is in good condition but has signs of 30 years shelf life.

This Woman’s Work box set released 30 years ago today 22 OCTOBER 2020

It’s surreal to think that this box set is actually 30 years old. Released a year after The Sensual World while Kate was in the thick of recording what would become The Red Shoes, it was the first time she had officially gathered together a lot of the “odds and sods”, B-sides and 12″ mixes from her then12-year career. The box sets contained all 6 of Kate’s studio albums released up to that point. Expensive sets at the time for fans, especially those just wanting those extra tracks, they are just as sought after today on the collector market. In fact the huge 9 vinyl disc LP version of the set (8 CD and 8 cassette versions were also released) can sometimes fetch eye-watering prices  now, depending on condition and the inclusion of those all important KT stickers!The box set even contains some tracks that didn’t make it to The Other Sides remastered rarities collection from 2018, including The Empty Bullring, Not This Time, Ken (from the Comic Strip film “GLC”) and the four Live on Stage EPtracks. At the time it almost felt like Kate was looking back on a long career in music and that this was gathering up her life’s work…here’s the note she included in the accompanying booklet of photographs:

Has it really been twelve years already?… Is this how it was Rip Van Winkle?Looking through these photos I haven’t seen for years, and listening to B-sides of singles I’d forgotten about, has been an interesting exercise for me.

I think my music and I have changed a lot, and when I was making the first album,which at that time was my greatest goal. I never imagined that a box-set of my work would be out in 1990 and I would still be making albums. That’s a nice feeling.
