‘Rupert Preaching at a Picnic’ – Original Very Rare Private Press 1981 Comp LP.
Seems to be very rare and hard to get hold of, I can only see this one on eBay
If you’re looking at this ad then you probably know what this album is. Recorded on 4-track at an artists’ commune in Welwyn Garden City in 1980 and sold through a record shop in Hertford. The cover is a plain white sleeve with a comic strip pasted on the front and track and recording details on the back.
The only two contributors I’d ever heard of were Portion Control and the Marine Girls, and this appears to be both bands’ first recorded output. It’s on the Naïve label and is totally original.
Sleeve is slightly ripped on one side, any damage I have photographed
The vinyl is in very nice condition
