DESCRIPTION: Rush LP- A Farewell to Kings. . Gatefold sleeve and inner sleeve. Early UK pressing - matrices ending 1//1 2//2 LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Mercury 9100 042 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1977 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): NM/NM. Vinyl is immaculate with a deep dark sheen. This is from a collection i recently bought where most of the the Lps had been played once or twice to put onto tape then stored correctly afterwards- some have not been played since the mid/late 70s. Played passages of this today on my Ariston RD80 Transcription Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds superb and its a great LP. One of my favourite Rush Lps. Clear and loud with fantastic seperation. Cover is firm and square and has only negligable edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. Immaculate spine and labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
