Description
"All The World's a Stage" is a double live album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 29th, 1976. The album was recorded at Massey Hall in Toronto on June 11th through the 13th during their 2112 tour. The title of this album alludes to William Shakespeare's play "As You Like It". According to the linear notes, this live album (Rush's first) marks the end of the "first chapter of Rush", and would mark the start of a trend of releasing a live album after four studio albums. "All The Worlds a Stage" would be Rush's first US Top 40 charting album and would go gold, alongside "A Farewell to Kings" and "2112" on November 16th, 1977. As a guitarist, I think Alex Lifeson's guitar solo break on "By-Tor and the Snowdog" is one of the greatest "live" guitar solo's ever recorded. One of my all time favorite Rush albums. Also, Neil Peart's drum solo on "Working Man" is still regarded as one of the best "live" drum solo's in rock and roll. The catalog # on the spine is: SRM-2-7508. It is on the Mercury Label and is SEALED..No Barcode. There is some slight "fraying" at the top, center of the album about 1/2" wide. Overall in N/M condition. Record was stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received.
