Description
Here we have the rather excellent 1993 release from Canadian rockers Rush. As you are well aware if you are reading this, Counterparts is relatively rare on vinyl since it was only released in that format in Europe and South America and other lands that were (quite wisely, as it turns out) slower to abandon records than the progress-happy USA. Interestingly this particular example says "Made in Germany" on the bottom back but lists Atlantic Records' New York City address, so I wonder if these were imported from Germany to be sold in the U.S. Who knows? Anyway, it's a good album for the time from Rush; me, I'll always be fond of "Animate" and "Cold Fire." Those were probably the last Rush songs I ever heard played regularly on the radio. Ah, for the old days. Anyway it's time for me to clean out the collection, and since it's been awhile since I listened to this I would like it to go to a fellow Rush fan (I got into them upon the release of "Hemispheres," which I read about for the first time in Stereo Review magazine. I'm old.) who also appreciates the pleasure of holding a record sleeve and putting needle to the groove.
The record itself is in excellent condition. The sleeve is very good, as you can see in the photos it's a bit scuffed around the edges.
One note: please do not ask me to sell the record for a fixed price. I understand the desire to possess something as soon as one desires it, but the auction system is the closest thing we have to a real free market economy. And I like it.
