NOTE:
In point of fact this LP is incomplete/altered UK version of BAND ON THE RUN album of 1973, which has title composition Band On The Run thrown away and replaced by Melodiya with Silly Love Songs from WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND of 1976. But the title of this song was "translated" into Russian as I Love You (? ???? ?????) – probably because of flippancy of the original title. In due time also there were rumors about changing of the original title of the whole LP and removing of the song of the same name: most likely Soviet functionaries of cultural affairs decided that there was no point to popularize the song dedicated to some band on the run. Far less to own the complete record with such an obscene (in their opinion) title.
Titles of several songs are translated into Russian not very exactly, and others may have alternative translation.
Design of the original UK edition is shown on Pic. 1, 2, 3.
If to compare the design of the sleeves by All-Union Recording Studio and Moscow Experimental Recording Plant [see Pic. 4] with the sleeves by Tashkent Plant [see Pic. 5] You can notice that the last one used different background color and slightly changed the picture on the back side. And somewhat scaled down the size of entire picture.
Part of the released sleeves carries misprints in English titles of the compositions # 3 and # 4 from side 2 of the album.
All the songs on Melodiya LP were recorded a bit too fast as compared to the UK original albums (WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND and BAND ON THE RUN). Therefore the running time of the most compositions is 1-4 seconds shorter. The difference is more noticeable on Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me) which is 6 seconds shorter, among other things because of additional little trim of the track in the end of fade-out.
Also actual tracks’ running time is slightly different from that listed on the sleeve.

For other details see the corresponding Plant (Recording Studio) pages of this edition. This page doesn’t display the label image of Baku Plant because it was closed approx. in 1971.
Until today editions only by All-Union Recording Studio, Moscow Experimental Recording Plant and Tashkent Plant have been found. There is no information about editions by Aprelevka Plant, Leningrad Plant, Riga Plant and Tbilisi Recording Studio. Most likely, these Melodiya’s manufacturing divisions didn’t release this LP.
In 1983 three songs from this album were released by the same Melodiya on 7" EP and 7" flexi EP – refer to the main pages of PAUL MCCARTNEY. "WINGS" ENSEMBLE (7" EP) containing Silly Love Songs // Jet / No Words and PAUL MCCARTNEY. "WINGS" ENSEMBLE (7" flexi EP) containing Silly Love Songs // Jet / No Words.
It should be noted that title of Silly Love Songs in Russian is listed a little bit differently:
on this LP as ? ???? ?????,
on 7" records as ? ????? ????.
Word order in Russian language in certain instances can vary without any change in meaning.
