This wonderful surprise from Havana is now available, under an exclusive worldwide license from World Circut / Nonsuch, on 200 gram vinyl! The discs are mastered directly from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman (who mastered the original CD) under the supervision of the project producer, Ry Cooder. An international phenomenon upon its release in late 1997 (with second volume in the works as we speak) these sessions feature some of the greatest Cuban musicians ever in a historical recording event. Most have never been heard outside their native land, many are sexagenarians but the magic that came together on these tapes shows no age.
