Description

This is the 10th anniversary reissue of Ryan Adams 'Gold' 2LP, issued by Lost Highway in 2011. It is a double album on clear vinyl with 21 tracks, including the five songs from the limited edition bonus CD from the original release. It has a single sleeve (no gatefold) and the LPs are in plain paper inner sleeves. There are no inserts other than a generic Lost Highway 10th anniversary promo.

This 10th anniversary reissue is out of print and is prized by Ryan Adams collectors. However, please be aware that this reissue is not particularly well regarded by audiophiles as it taken from a digital source without too much care in the mastering stage, and the clear vinyl pressing is known to have a fair bit of surface noise. In short, this pressing looks excellent and there are no scratches, but it will never sound great due to the limitations of the mastering.

** If you are a collector, this clear vinyl issue may the version for you - however, if you just want a great sounding version of 'Gold' on vinyl then I would strongly recommend you to search out a copy of the black vinyl issue from 2017, as mastered by Chris Bellman and pressed at Pallas. I've got a copy and it sounds fab!
