SAFE AS MILK - Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band MONO VERSION, original U.S. pressing BDM 1001
This is a nice copy of the classic first album by Captain Beefheart, SAFE AS MILK, which was released in both mono and stereo. This particular copy is the vastly preferred MONO version which does not have panned instruments and vocals. The stereo version is virtually impossible to listen to with headphones. No cutout marks or punch-holes.
SLEEVE: VG RECORD: VG
The sleeve is complete and glossy with light ring wear on both sides. 1" split at bottom opening, 1cm split at top opening. No spine splits. Wear to top edge. No tape. A couple light and small creases.
The vinyl plays well with some surface noise, light marks, light scratches and some scuffs. Just a well-loved record. The first track of side B skipped once on my turntable during the voiceover introduction. Spindle marks on the labels.
Scarce copy of a very desirable record, and the preferred version in MONO!
