The 9th studio full lenght album of the doom legend SAINT VITUS from Los Angeles is self-titled for the 2nd time in band history. This is as unique as the band itself. But if you disregard the unimaginativeness of the album title, the fan can expect a 41-minute doom metal orgy at its best. In the case of "Saint Vitus", one can say that with the return of Scott Reagers to the microphone, a connection to the early phase was sought, which also worked well. Reagers, who has already played some extremely strong shows with Dave Chandler and colleagues in the last few years, is now allowed back on the record, with the result being 9x pitch black, simple doom metal in slow motion that couldn't be better. Although most of the riffs of the minimal artist Dave Chandler could also come from the first two BLACK SABBATH albums and this source of inspiration is underlined by the bare but perfectly tuned production of Harris Johns, SAINT VITUS have kept their own touch. If now, next time, a cool album title is added,then the day is perfect for the doom community! The limited first edition in classic black vinyl, comes in a gatefold cover with silver hot foil print.
