WELCOME! I Work in a record store in Austin, Texas and I am going to be selling off some of my collection, I am starting off small, but I do have all positive feedback for records and other items, including some pricey heavy hitters and no complaints thus far thankfully. This week I'm offering a lot of RARE and OBSCURE records from all sorts of genres, mostly private press stuff, like boogie funk psych soul folk xian weird etc..

For auction is: Cleopatra on the Nile LP Mount Vernon Records. MVM 102, Late 1960s     Private press Egyptian Jazz by an unknown band in a very similar vein to Salah Ragab and the Cairo Jazz Band.  I can not find much info on this release but I would venture to say there is some connection between the band members of this set and the Cairo Jazz band, but I am not sure.  Sleeve still in shrink.

   Vinyl: VG (A good VG but the record has a number of hairline scratches in certain areas that cause some pops and crackles in quiet parts, though nothing too major, and no skips on my table, ie although there are quite a few thin scratches none of them are very deep. Despite this it sounds quite good, I tried to give a wide variety of samples to illustrate the overall sound quality, and in my opinion it sounds very good for private 60s press.)  ^Listen to Sound Clip

Jacket/Label: EX (Still in shrink, previous owner took good care of the record but obviously listened to it quite often, but the jacket is excellent and the shrink is still tight and clean.)

I try to Grade conservatively because everyone has different standards.
I use Gold Mine standard grading in ascending order of quality G, G+, VG-, VG, VG+, VG++, EX(+/-), NM, SS (or sealed unplayed).
