REMEMBER LITTLE RICHARD!

OOH! MY SOUL/TRUE FINE MAMA (Specialty #633 1st pressing w/PICTURE SLEEVE, 1958): CLEAN VG/VG+ 45 & PIC SLEEVE.


Toss that beat-to-death Little Richard (1932-2020) single on the bone pile & replace it with this bargain-priced 45 & picture sleeve.  This is the actual 1st pressing with wrong record number 624 on its B-side label.  Later pressings corrected this error on the True Fine Mama side.  The picture sleeve has no splits, holes or rips, but it's wrinkly & has a faint price stamp & small stain (see last photo).  The single plays VG+ and will do nicely until you're ready to spend $50 or more for an M- 45 & picture sleeve. 

Oooh! My Soul isn't as well remembered as Richard's biggest hits (although it was Top 40 in 1958), but it made a big impression on Richie Valens.  He changed the lyrics & recorded Oh My Head, turning the tune into a morning-after lament.
