SALVAGE

SIDE A:    HOT PANTS

SIDE B:    FUNDACION DEL AMOR

                  (Foundation Of Love)

MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Philips Records very first Promotional Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1971 by Discos Philips (Philips Records), licensed from Philips Holland, catalog number 6000 015, with hand etched matrix numbers 6000-015-A EB-CD in Side A and 6000-015-B EB-CD in Side B, with traditional dark blue/silver Philips Records labels. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Hot Pants” was originally released in 1971 and the same year we got this single released here in Chile. For some reason, most of information available about this single says it was released in 1970, but that information is wrong, this single was released in USA in March 1971. But we got this single licensed from Philips Holland and we also got the same catalog number. Song titles are written in English only “Hot Pants” and in Spanish, translated to English, the song “Foundation Of love”, with full credits for songwriters, “A Vance/Pockriss Production” and for Lee Pockriss for arrangements and direction. In Side B it’s the stamp “DISCO DE MUESTRA – PROHIBIDA SU VENTA” (Sample Record – Sale Forbidden), even though it’s a bit hard to see because it has faded. One more time a single in a MEGARARE PRESS released here in Chile and by the very first time auctioned here in eBay!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX+ or even NM- condition, clean and clear, with only some light spindle hole wear, more evident in Side B. The sound is in great VG+ or EX- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some soft crackles, more evident in the first part of the song, with some occasional light pops here and there, and in EX- or EX condition the Side B, almost same condition as Side A but less evident crackles, which don’t really affect the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record could not to be for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS and with a great look, almost immaculate labels and still a superb sound quality after about 51 years, which will satisfy any serious collector!!! So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE SINGLE by the very first time auctioned here in eBay with PROMO STAMP!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

____________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
