DESCRIPTION
Sam Cooke - “Ain’t That Good News” RCA Records LPM-2899 (Mono) from 1964. Great and Hard To Find Soul / R&B Vocal Album from the legendary Sam Cooke. First Pressing on the Deep Groove Black Dynagroove Mono RCA Labels.
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in decent shape. There is some shelf wear and a little corner softening. There is a small sticker peel in the upper right corner. There is an about 3” piece of celo tape on the upper seam next to the spine and the same in the lower right corner by the opening edge - not sure why, don’t appear to be split. There is an old stikcer in the upper right corner on the back. There are some record station notations and a large “KFOG” written on the back. Still, in solid shape with no cut-outs, tears, stains, etc. and I would rate it at VG. The Vinyl itself is in Clean Glossy condition looking to have been lightly played. If you really look closely you can spot a couple light scuffs and hairlines but could easily rate EX and plays that way but for 1 or 2 spots of light crackling - may just need a better cleaning. I am calling it VG+ to acount for the scuffs. The labels are Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
