Description

RARE - Original stereo pressings.  Has a few light scratches that don't affect playback except 1 song (the beginning of "Get Yourself Another Fool") skips. Sleeve has some wear on edges, front smooth and clean, back has a 1 by 2 inch tear at the bottom. Bottom spine is split about half way. Original inner sleeve replaced with generic. Please see pictures. This record has been visually inspected, cleaned,  and describe as accurately as possible.   I am happy to offer combined shipping for LPs paid for in the same order, and shipped to addresses within the US, shipping is $4 for the 1st 3 LPs, and $1 for each additional. Please wait to be invoiced if combining shipping.  All records are removed from covers (unless sealed) and shipped in generic sleeve and sturdy record mailers to ensure safe arrival. Thanks.  

Real Name: Samuel Cook - Born 22 January 1931, Clarksdale, Mississippi, USA - died December 11, 1964, Los Angeles, California.

Gospel/R&B/soul/pop singer, songwriter and entrepreneur. He is recognized as one of the founders of soul music and one of the most important singers in soul music history. Details about his death are still in dispute; official police records state he was killed by a gunshot. Younger brother of Charles Cook (who co-wrote Chain Gang) and elder brother of L.C. Cook. Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 (Performer). Inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987.
