Description:

  • Impossibly rare original 1958 Australian Mono VINYL LP on the turquoise HMV label
  • This is the debut Sam Cooke LP and it features his first hit You Send Me

Condition:

  • This 57 year-old record is in clean VERY GOOD+ condition. The vinyl is bright and shiny and it plays really well with just a couple of clicks and pops (notably between tracks 5 and 6 on Side One), but no serious defects or damage 

  • There is a name written on both labels (see picture),  otherwise the labels are clean

  • Like most 50s Australian pressings, the sleeve is made from very thin card which tends to wear badly over the decades. This one has survived well however considering it's almost 60 years old. It is graded VERY GOOD+ with light ring wear and a name and address written on the back and a name only on the front. Moderate shelf wear on the opening edges and light wear on the other seams, but no splits or other defects or damage
