Condition: two things devalue this record.
Firstly - The record is cut off centre. the needle will still track the record but it's not an option to try to listen to it this way, it's too far off centre to be aurally acceptable. However, as I'm sure you are aware, by taking out the centre adapter and carefully repositioning the record you can get the groove to be perfect in relation to the centre spindle of the turntable. (in the past I have used a small mark on the record to try and speed up this process and identify in which direction the record needs to be fractionally moved. It's not ideal but with a high value record like this ... then perhaps it's worth the bother?
Secondly: the record has some bizarre damage to the vinyl surface. I've not seen it before but it could be some type of heat damage?(I have included an image so you can see the problem) The vinyl itself is shinyl and would be VG+ and perhaps NM. Audio wise (as you can hear from the sound files I have added) the heat damage manifests itself as a dull thud in the background. it is worse on "Easier to say" and not so much of an issue on "Soul Sister"
Please make sure that you listen to the sound files all the way through and that you are aware that you are bidding on a less than perfect item. The sound files were recorded after I had "centred up" the vinyl on both sides
