SAMHAIN  "Initium" LP
PLAN 9 (PL9-04) Records, 1984
black vinyl with 6/84 (side A) and 8/84 (side B) matrix etchings
Near Mint- condition (cover and vinyl)!

This looks like a First pressing of 5000 on black vinyl.  According to MisfitsCentral.com,  "All first pressing copies have the Plan 9 logo and address, dull "C&P Hellbent Music" center labels, "6/84" A-side matrix, and "8/84" B-side matrix etching. These copies are available with white paper or clear plastic inner sleeves."

Now check this out.... the back cover has a Plan9 logo and Caroline Records Inc address.  So the jacket appears to be a 3rd pressing from June of 1989.  The vinyl does have the 1st press etchings, though.

I received this LP as part of a larger collection of Misfits records on ebay about 8 or 9 years ago, so maybe the previous owner mis-matched a couple of different pressings???  I'm not sure how it will affect the value of this item... so I started the price kind of low.  Beautiful condition!  Should make a great spare copy, at least.
