  SAN 169 *PURCELL - DIDO & AENEAS **ECO & BARBIROLLI ++ SAMPLE COPY with rare personal letter from Barbirolli + This lp comes with a handwritten letter dated 3rd November 1966 from Barbirolli to R. Kinloch Anderson (the original owner), who wrote the liner notes for this record. The letter is a warm personal message of thanks from Barbirolli to Anderson for his contribution of the essay "The preparation and recording of Purcell's Dido & Aeneas". This is a superb historical document and the tone and sentiment of the letter gives one a beautiful snapshot of the working mind of a legendary talent.

Ang?? have just sent me the Dido & we put it on with Evelyn the other day & she was really thrilled by it.
