The San Lucas Band - Music of Guatemala (ABC Command)

Notorious and beautifully odd Guatemalan music record from the mid-70s. Irwin Chusid said about it in "Songs of the Key of Z": "World music equivalent of Portsmouth Sinfonia: out-of-joint, listless, unable to come to grips with rhythm. Musical delirium tremens - like a Salvation Army band that fell of the wagon."

Definitely for fans of outsider, incredibly strange, and unique LPs. It could very well be that this is perfectly normal music - yet it simply sounds awfully strange outside of Guatemala. A treasure!!!
