This listing is one of many e-bay auctions over the coming weeks forming sale phase 2 of The Mike Read Collection. This vast and magnificent collection boasts thousands of items compiled over many years by the legendary DJ and Broadcaster Mike Read. Following the successful completion of sale phase 1, at a live auction held in London at the end of November where his numerous music publications, celebrity photos and vinyl records appropriate for bulk lot sale fetched interest from bidders and media spectators alike. Sale phase 2 will again be by public auction exchanging the physical auction room in London for eBay – who can boast a virtual auction room at each one of the many billion locations worldwide that can receive an internet signal. Whilst many surprise items from the collection will be auctioned through this platform over the coming weeks the majority of items within sale phase 2 are the highly sort after and much publicised jems from the vinyl collection. The items which represent the part of his record collection that sets it aside from all but a few others includes many highly collectable, rare, limited edition and demonstration records within the Mike Read Vinyl Collection.

The phase 2 auctions will provide the first and only opportunity to obtain many of the highly collectable and sought after pieces within the vinyl collection as single items. Therefore providing a unique and cost effective opportunity of adding that sought after item to your collection which could normally only be purchased at competitive auction prices when acquired as part of a multi item lot. Due to the quantity and quality of the items which form the most renowned and highly sought after section of this vinyl portfolio we will be able to offer numerous auctions containing multiple records for those customers who want to buy more than one item at once or even start a ready made collection (these will comprise of 7” singles and demos) We would like to assure all potential bidders that the contents of multiple item auctions are being carefully selected with the collector in mind to ensure suitable lotting, that won’t require you to be an avid collector of both Led Zep and Doris Day to make your purchase worthwhile. That being said we do appreciate that no collector or collection is identical and we therefore welcome any suggestions, views and requests that you submit to us and can guarantee that they will be taken into account so that we can tailor our packages to meet a broad range of requirements. We are currently working on the basis that most vinyl collections are built around a specific genre whether that be punk, beat, soul etc we are therefore lotting together many fantastic items by genre.

We give reduced shipping on bulk purchases. All of our items are sent in brand new good quality mailers with two stiffeners for extra protection.
