I have very sadly decided to sell the remainder of my own record collection over the next few weeks. It is varied in its content from 60/70's Folk/Rock, incl rare Zeppelin and Floyd 1st presses, some Beatles and Dylan,including Japanese presses, various now deleted Audiophile pressings and female vocal. Some records I have owned since new, others I have carefully selected and picked up along the way. I have always tried to collect the best and earliest copies.

I will keep descriptions as simple as possible rather than do elaborate advertisements.

Whilst I have owned the records they have only ever been played on either a Michell Orbe or SME Model 20 turntable, both fitted with SME V tonearms and quality cartridges such as the Lyra Delos. My last phono stage was the Reference Whest PS 30RDT SE coupled to Vitus amplification and Sonus Faber Cremona M speakers. Not only has this been a revealing system, giving me an accurate assessment of all records played on it, but it has, I hope, always looked after the vinyl.

I clean all my records on an Okki Nokki RCM before putting them in new Nagaoka anti-static record sleeves and plastic outer sleeves. They have always been very carefully stored in a smoke free enviroment.

I will grade using the Record Collector system, erring on the side of caution as I have sold the SME. I am also selling the phono stage and cartrige. I am happy to discuss details with any buyers.

This is an immaculate collectors copy

Outer sleeve -  N Mint. This cover is immaculate for its age and given how fragile they are. When I bought this a number of years ago from the original owner, he told me he had stored this for many years, it had been played only twice and he felt it was possibly the best one out there. I didn't disagree with him and could clearly see and later hear that it had in fact been played only twice. I have since only played it a further 3 times.

The cover has not lost a hint of its fabulous colour, both the outer portrait or the beautiful lyric inner. It is a real pleasure to look upon Sandy's face on the front cover, it is as though it were printed yesterday. The spine is totally intact. There is absolutely no fading, tears, or marks of any kind anywhere and only if you were really picky could you say that the only hint of any shelf wear is to be found at the bottom right corner where there is the merest hint of a slight crease and another if you look hard to the back cover in the middle of the record opening.

Labels - Mint. There is no trace of even a single spindle mark.

Vinyl visualy - N Mint. Even in bright light I cannot see even the faintest of surface marks. 

Vinyl play -  N Mint. I have just cleaned and played this through for the third time and its absolutely fabulous. There is barely any vinyl noise anywhere, it is lovely and quiet right through. It is a fabulous pressing.

The only "imperfection" at all has nothing to do with age, playing or storage but was present when I bought it and the owner said it had been there as long as he could remember and that is a very tiny mark which can only be seen when held in bright light and appears to be an original pressing fault on track 1, side one, which elicits 3 quiet 'clicks' near the beginning of that track. Having cleaned it now 3 times and there being no change I can only assume what he had thought.

This truly is a collectors piece. I can only reiterate what was said to me when I purchased this, that I would find it very hard to find a better one out there, given that its over 40years old and that the covers are so fragile in nature.

Of all the records that I am selling, this one is perhaps the hardest not only because of the music but because I know I could never replace it, hence the higher starting price.
