Description
This is a really excellent example of Sandy Denny's album - The North Star Grassman and the Ravens. It comes complete with original card gatefold sleeve, original inner sleeve and disc, which is in excellent condition.

This disc is part of my personal record collection and has been in my possession since purchase . It has been rarely played as it was my practice to record all new discs to my stereo tape deck , play the recordings on a day to day basis and archive the discs. I apply the Record Collector Magazine grading classification rigorously to all the discs I offer for sale. The ratings are:
Gatefold Sleeve: Original Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd heavy card gatefold sleeve in EXCELLENT+++ condition . (see photo)
Inner Sleeve: Original white paper inner with PATENT NO. 1,125,555, and MADE IN ENGLAND printed in grey in EXCELLENT+++ condition.
Disc: As may be seen from the photo, the disc is on the classic Island Label with the pink rim. Potential bidders should note that I always listen to the whole of both sides of any disc I offer for sale and my ratings are honest assessments. The disc is in better than EXCELLENT condition and the sound quality is truly splendid, giving a perfect reproduction of Sandy Denny's voice . It is rich, deep and clear as a bell and there is no distortion. There is a very small number of extremely minor dust pops (Side 1 Track 3 and Side 2 Track 6) but these in no way detract from the pleasure to be gained from this album. To a very great extent, the disc plays almost as brand new and, remarkably for a 40 year old disc, cannot be classified as anything less than EXCELLENT++.
