Description
Beautiful debut solo LP by the singer / songwriter from The Strawbs, Fotheringay, and Fairport Convention (along with singing harmony on Led Zeppelin's song "The Battle Of Evermore"), this is a 1st US pressing from 1971 of "The North Star Grassman and the Ravens" on A&M Records. I am listening to it now and it sounds wonderful. The gatefold cover has some typical wear for its 48 years of life: corner bumps and edge wear in spots, the top open edge with a tiny bit split, and some cover wear (mostly on back where you can see some ring wear), but it is still very solid, has a very legible spine, and the inside of the gatefold is in wonderful shape. The LP, wrapped in the original A&M sleeve, is super clean, hardly a mark to mention, and as I mentioned above, it sounds great, NO skipping and very little background noise, though it is new and you will hear the occasional quiet pop since this is a relatively very quiet LP with awesome guitar work by RICHARD THOMPSON. We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
