This is an original used 4 LP Vinyl Box Set of ‘Sandy Denny – Who Knows Where the Time Goes?’ released on Island records in 1985 (Serial Number: SDSP 100). This 43 track box set includes her greatest released and unreleased recordings, live performances, out-takes and demos from 1967 to 1977. This is a very rare item and an extremely collectable one on this format. *Please note that this box set is listed in the ‘Record Collector: Rare Record Price Guide 2006’ and so i have started the bidding off at GBP 20.00 to encourage sensible bids from serious customers.*

 

The 4 vinyl LP’s are in absolutely mint condition (ie: there are NO scuffs, scratches or marks that impair the audio quality whatsoever) having NEVER actually been played. The box set comes complete with the original 12 inch 20 page booklet (featuring black and white photographs & lyrics) which is also in mint condition. The vinyl discs and booklet are housed in a 12” blue picture box that is also in mint condition.

“This vinyl box set is a fitting tribute to the enduring artistry of Sandy Denny. She was not only a heartbreakingly beautiful singer but also a composer of timeless songs, including the number that lent its title to this collection. Denny developed a voice of her own fairly early on, one that had its roots in her British Isles heritage and her love for American folk music. Denny first flourished in Fairport Convention, then set out on her own to take part in a variety of projects. All of the phases of her 10-year career (she died in 1978) are represented here. There are favorite studio tracks, along with outtakes, demos, and live performances. While this thoughtfully arranged and compiled set represents a perfect introduction to Denny's work, a shorter overview is also available in the form of THE BEST OF SANDY DENNY”.
