Description
This is a german edition of Santana's Lotus, a three LP album published in 1974. Purchased in germany by my late mother during her army tour there. I'm selling german editions of quite a lot of LPs for that reason
There are many editions and variants, I'm fairly sure i've got the right details here. It is a triple gatefold which unfolds to reveal a panorama of Vishnu, Buddha and Jesus. It's pretty visually spectacular
Unfortunately, putting three records into one sleeve was a terrible design, and the sleeve has paid the price for this. A lot of stress is placed on the folds between the record slots, and it needs some careful handling to prevent farther tears The worst tear along the spine is a bit over an inch long
Despite this the whole thing is still holding together, no side is wholly torn
The records had some smears and condensation due to being stored in a damp area, but I have cleaned them up nicely with a record cleaning kit.
This includes the lovely doublesidede oddly-shaped posters
