Description
- Santana released their debut album "Santana" in August 1969 on Columbia Records. It was a huge hit and was on the charts for two years reaching as high as No. 4. It was boosted by "Evil Ways" which was a Top 10 single. Anticipation for the album was boosted by the band's performance at Woodstock.
- This copy of (CS 9781) is from the First Pressing more than 50-years-ago and is in very good condition. The cover shows some minor wear but is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc with the original red two-eye "360 Sound Stereo" labels test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Customatrix and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched S\ XSM-139377 1A o.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 52 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
