Up for sale is an original Disc Jockey (DJ)/White Label Promo (WLP) pressing of the self-titled debut from killer latin/funk combo Sapo. WLP copies of this album are very rare, but this is the even rarer radio issue, with red lettering over a white background.

Expect some heavy, soulful, and rocking grooves from this album - dustygroove.com calls it "a killer bit of Latin funk from the west coast scene of the 70s – the only album we've ever seen from Sapo, but a set that almost blows away the efforts of bigger groups like Malo or El Chicano! There's a bit more funk in the mix here than in some of the group's contemporaries – a leaner, more soulful sound that's totally great."

This is a highly renowned record among those in the know - it has been sampled by such artists as DJ Shadow. This is one of the rarest Latin and Chicano Funk albums - here's your chance to pick up a prime copy in its rarest pressing! This is absolutely essential listening if you are a fan of Funk, Latin, and Chicano Rock, and any DJs or sample artists will want to add this to their collection.

The vinyl grades Very Good Plus Plus (VG++). Side one looks great with only a few light signs of wear and side two has a few visible but light marks that cannot be felt and do not affect play. Overall it boasts a shiny luster and looks very nice. It plays absolutely BEAUTIFULLY without any skips, jumps, or loud pops/clicks. Have a listen to the sound clips of the actual record you will receive. No noise reduction - what you hear is exactly what you get!

The cover is in wonderful shape and only features a few very light signs of wear. It has some very occasional fading and some very slight shelf wear to the corners, but overall it grades a Near Mint Minus (NM-). Everything is shown in the photos - have a look!
