SATAN - 'Kiss of Death' b/w 'Heads Will Roll' (Guardian Records N' Tapes GRC 145 45, UK '82) EX/EX
Mad rare. New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Independent release. Long deleted & Out of print. Outstanding.
Made in Great Britain. Recorded December 1981.
I'd love to say this was near mint, but truthfully, it's seen better days: as you see in the photos, there are some slight marks on the sleeve & some surface marks on the record, but neither effects the quality of these tracks, as both are loud & clear recordings..
It's an outstanding record. A foundation for NWOBHM, with a worldwide influence, & powerful performance that still sounds strong & contemporary.
Produced by Terry Gavaghan at Guardian Studios in Pity Me, outside Durham City (200m from where I went to school)..
Tracks written by Russ Tippins & Steve Ramsey, & featuring Trev Robinson, Graeme English & Andy Reed.
Russ, Steve & Graeme would later form Skyclad & Pariah.
