Tremendous blues from the original lineup, a teenaged Kim Simmons joins with cult guitar virtuoso Martin Stone fresh from Mod band The Action. An adept album of authentic original blues, in the same frame as John Mayall's Bluesbreakers or John Dummer Blues Band. It's really a step up from where The Rolling Stones were with their first recordings, but by this time they were moving to psych and progressive rock. Stone might have been a suitable replacement for Brian Jones actually! However, this album made a clear statement for what Savoy Brown were about..... and suggested they were bloody good at that from the beginning! This is a terrific record that epitomises the British blues genre they not only intended to join, but to become standard bearers of. Solid vinyl, and in fantastic condition, it can't be better. Heavy flat vinyl platter, as you might have expected to find in the shop at the day of issue!
