Description
The 1967 pressing had an unboxed Decca label. This is a 1970's full frequency stereophonic sound pressing with a boxed logo as Decca had Savoy Brown on contract up to at least the early 70's and continued to market their records throughout and probably beyond.
The non-flipback sleeve has a laminated front and plain albeit glossy rear. I can't say anything much bad about it; it's in great sharp, intact, clean and fresh condition. For 40+ years old it must have been hiding somewhere safe for decades (i.e. my collection). I give the sleeve a rating of 9 /10 minimum.
As for the shiny vinyl it's in great nick and is flat with no dishing. I can only see evidence of a spindle mark on label 2 so looks like someone tried out side 1 and that was it (I have another copy of the LP to play so I never touched this one). I've looked hard at the plastic and can see only a few faint scuff marks, again due to handling and moving in and out of the inner poly lined sleeve. Condition wise it probably warrants a 9 like the sleeve but call it 8.75 / 10 for margin of error.
The Decca inner sleeve is polythene lined and is clean and intact. Any creasing or hint of browning is solely down to age.
