Here's an original copy of SAVOY BROWN, MAY BLITZ, FOTHERINGAY - Live Concert, originally released 19?? in the UK on GB GEMA 231.
HARD to find (to say the least!), original British limited edition of immense concerns for collectors ...The powerhouse sound of MAY BLITZ from their "1st" Lp era (1970) as well as killer Savoy Brown, unleashed & driving hard, no studio hold backs here... all tracks are exclusive versions only found here..the Savoy Brown track "Louisiana Blues" was first released on their 1969 "Blue Matter" album, and as great as that recording is, what a pleasant surprise here, featuring a side long (21:45) driving & blazing heavy blues jam that delivers sizzling guitar tradeoffs, the band in magical form, from the "Looking In" line up of 1971. May Blitz nearly equals the killer Savoy Brown side with two punishing heavy jams (one is uncredited on the album) ... recorded alive inbetween the first and 2nd Of May Lp (thinking the 2nd track is from "2nd Of May", maybe "For Madmen Only" ?) Whatever the case the mighty May Blitz are, explosive. As a bonus, and for a varied style is the Sandy Denny led UK folkrock sounds of "Fotheringay" and a live track from 1971...
