Here is a beautiful copy of the super rare 1940s Savoy "NEW SOUNDS IN MODERN MUSIC VOL. 2" four disc 78rpm box set. All four discs are in excellent condition with little wear. Book style packaging is also as close to pristine as you are likely to find - the only notable wear is a crease in lower right bottom corner. Binding is in great shape. This unbelievable collection includes such BE-BOP legends as Charlie Parker, Izzy Goldberg, Tadd Dameron, J.J. Johnson, Max Roach, Allan Eager, Kenny Clarke, Bud Powell, Fats Navarro, Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, Leo Parker, Kai Winding, Serge Chaloff, and Curley Russell. Disc one is the Charlie Parker All-Stars Performing "Chasing the Bird" and Miles Davis All-Stars performing "Little Willie Leaps". Disc two is Fats Navarro Quintette Performing "Ice Freezes Red" and Ray Brown's All-Stars performing "For Heckler's Only". Disc three is Sonny Stitt's All-Stars performing "BLUES IN BE-BOP" and Serge Chaloff's All-Stars doing "Gabardine and Serge".
