Walter Gieseking - Beethoven Sonatas

(Columbia SAX 2259 UK LP 1958)

 

This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve & comes with its original tracing paper inner sleeve. The records have "blue & silver" Columbia labels. The matrix numbers are YAX 94-20 & YAX 95-9. This is quite rare as an original UK Stereo pressing.

 

Sleeve: There is some fading to the rear. Also, there is some mild writing on the rear. VG- condition.

Vinyl: Light sleeve rubs that can be seen under a strong light, and some light pressing marks too. VG condition. The labels are nice and clean & show mild spindle wear. Plays well overall. However there is light, or mild, crackle in the background. There are also a few bits of more noticeable crackle as well. Obviously it is a fairly quiet LP on the whole.

 

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £40. Overseas buyers will add £5.25 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
