The item up for auction is a SUPER RARE COLLECTORS and MUSIC LOVERS item.  A recording of the BRAHMS DOUBLE CONCERTO & TRAGIC OVERTURE performed by DAVID OISTRAKH & PIERRE FOURNIER with the PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA conducted by ALCEO GALLIERA. This is a FIRST STEREO PRESSING (TURQUOISE & SILVER LABEL) pressed in the UK on the COLUMBIA - EMI record label. A truly wonderful recording - don't miss out!

Long out of print and now a scarce title, this auction is for an LP featuring -

performed by:

DAVID OISTRAKH (violin) & PIERRE FOURNIER ('cello) with the PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA conducted by ALCEO GALLIERA

The LP is from the SUPER rare COLUMBIA - EMI STEREO (FIRST ISSUE - SAX) series of LPs (now LONG out of print and hotly pursued by audiophile and music collector alike), catalog # SAX 2264 - in stereo. 

Condition Details - the JACKET is almost completely intact. It has two tiny splits where the record is inserted into the sleeve of about a quarter inch - the jacket is beginning to show some shelf wear with slightly weakening corners and seams.  The colours on the cover are lovely and bold. 

The LP is in excellent overall condition and played that way when spot play graded. There are a couple of marks on the vinyl that might sound on some audio systems - please note: all LPs should be properly cleaned prior to playing (this is NOT a stone mint LP). The vinyl has a TURQUOISE & SILVER record label, with predominantly BLACK lettering. The LP was clearly issued and pressed in the UK (GREAT BRITAIN). 

This LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
