Description

EMI Columbia Records stereo four disc boxed set SAX 2269-72, SMS 1003.  Discs 2269 and 2272 have the first blue and silver labels, discs 2270 and 2271 have the red semi-circle label, all four discs pressed in England.  Includes both the insert and the hard to find complete libretto.  This set did not originally come with the complete libretto, it had to be purchased separately.


Richard Strauss, Der Rosenkavalier, with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Otto Edelmann, Christa Ludwig, Teresa Stich Randall and Eberhard Wechter.  Herbert von Karajan conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra and chorus.  See pics for complete cast and program details.
