Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
Recording first published 1958 of Uk Columbia SAX 2281 blue/silver label Schubert Trio No. 1 in B Flat played by David Oistrakh, Sviatoslav Knushevitzky, Lev Oborin. Sleeve is a flip back (with "s" arrows to the spine). The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are YAX 98-17 and YAX 99-3.
Grading
Would grade the record visually as VG+. On side 1 there is a light scratch across the runout and 1cm into Band 2. There are some faint sleeve scratches on part of the record. On side 2 there are some very faint sleeve scratches. It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips or jumps. There is audible crackle in places throughout the record. So I would audio grade as VG. Sleeve is VG+. There is some wear to bottom right hand corner and the rear sleeve has some discolouration through age. I have done my best to show?this?on the photos.??
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
