Claudio Arrau: Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 5

(Columbia SAX 2297 UK LP 1959)

 

This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a gold "Stereophonic" circular sticker on the front. It comes with its original polythene lined company (Emitex) inner sleeve. 

The record has "blue and silver" Columbia labels which are grooved also. It has 1st press YAX 257-14 and YAX 258-1 matrix numbers. This is a rare UK Classical LP. I have some other rare UK Stereo Classical LP's for sale too.

 

Sleeve: There is a strip of fading to the front sleeve at the opening. There is some mild to more moderate fading to the rear. There is a small 1 cm tear at the rear sleeve opening. VG condition.

Vinyl: Light to mild sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. NEAR EX condition. The labels are in wonderful condition and show next to no spindle wear. Plays Very Near Excellent to Excellent. There is some very light crackle in a very few quieter passages. The Emitex inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light wear but no seam splits.

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).

Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

 

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
