BEETHOVEN - Violin Concerto
OISTRAKH / CLUYTENS
You are bidding on a genuine first edition Blue & Silver copy of this stereophonic rarity - Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61. Performance by David Oistrakh and the French National Radio Orchestra, conducted by Andre Cluytens.
Country: UK Year: 1959 Label: Columbia (Blue & Silver; Stereo) Original inner sleeve.
The sleeve: very clean on the front, laminated; minor age spotting and small red sticker on reverse. Spine splits (6.5 inches to top; 5 inches to bottom). Grading: VG+
The Vinyl: Side 1 has 7 or 8 very light hairline marks which don't affect play. Grading: EX. Side 2 is in ever better condition with only a couple of tiny hairline marks. EX+.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.Your record will be packaged inside the original inner sleeve, next to the cover, all in a protective plastic outer sleeve. It will be posted to you inside a professional record mailer with three cardboard stiffeners.
