Description
Super copy of this revered violin record. The matrix numbers are : YLX 1006-2 & YLX 1007-16 so this is certainly pressed from the first stamper of this recording. Sound quality is superb throughout with almost no surface noise whatsoever & maybe just a hint of distortion on the very loudest moments which may have more to do with the original recording than this record. Extraordinary listening experience with Oistrakh's violin captured in the most vivid way imaginable. The sleeve is in excellent order although bidders should be aware that there is some braille punching/embossing on the right hand side. This is just visible on the photos included but does not give the record a messy or damaged appearance. There is a marker pen blemish on the back of the jacket where someone has blotted out a biro price. This is very small though. The playing surfaces are in superb condition with only a handful of hairline scratches/scuffs/sleeve rubs visible under very strong light. Includes original sleeve.
All records are vacuum cleaned on a KAB ev-1 record cleaner & listened through to once in their entirety off a new Ortofon stylus. Records are removed from sleeves before posting in custom mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records are placed in a brand new inner sleeve & the whole package placed in a polythene sleeve to protect it in transit. I will only post this record 1st class recorded delivery within the UK & 'international signed for' overseas. This comes with insurance of £46. If your purchases exceed this amount then I strongly advise you to contact me before completing any transactions to arrange additional cover (this only costs £2 or £3 extra depending on where you are).
