Early UK pressed EMI Columbia Records set comprising two separate stereo LPs, SAX 2316 and 2317.
SAX 2316 is an early semi-circle reissue, and SAX 2317 is a blue/silver first pressing.
SAX 2316 a top end EX plus. Just a very few spider trail marks are visible at the centre spindle areas, and labels are bright, undulled and unmarked. Vinyl surfaces are bright and glossy and close scrutiny with a magnifying glass reveals just two or three of the lightest and wispiest of superficial hairline sleeve removal type scuffs.
SAX 2317 is close to near mint. Just one or two spider trail marks are visible at the centre spindle areas, and labels are bright, undulled and unmarked. Vinyl surfaces are bright and glossy and close scrutiny with a magnifying glass reveals just a couple of light and barely perceptible superficial hairline sleeve removal type scuffs.
Sleeves both EX. Iconic front panels are still bright and glossy with just a couple of minor half moon imperfections to laminate. Rear panels retain clean overall whiteness without marks or grubbiness, and backflaps are intact and undamaged. Edges are clean and without wear or fraying, although a neat approx. half inch seam split to bottom right edge of SAX 2317. Spines in excellent shape and entry sides still acceptably crisp and firm.
One inner sleeve has ads for other EMI issues and is in EX condition. Second inner sleeve is plain poly-lined paper. This is overall clean and without marks or splits, but has some pronounced linear crease marks.
Contains no libretto insert, as issued, although this was available to purchase separately at the time.
