Description
This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
UK Columbia SAX 2350 blue/silver label Brahms Symphony No.4 in E Minor, Op.98 played by the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Otto Klemperer. Sleeve is a flip back. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are YAX 269-2 and YAX 270-2.
Grading
Visually graded the vinyl under a task lamp. Side 1 has one small light scratch close to the edge and one light mark. Side 2 has one light scratch 5 cm long. Would visually grade as Excellent. It plays on my Linn Sondek with no skips or jumps, however there is a lot of crackle, particularly on side 1. Sleeve is Excellent, some wear and marks (see photos). The rear cover has darkened with age. Inner sleeve is excellent.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
