Description

Very rare Mozart – Don Giovanni 4Lp box set + insert and original inners. Eberhard Wachter, Joan Sutherland; Luigi Alva, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Philharmonia orchestra and chorus conducted by Carlo Maria Giulini. Columbia 1st stereo pressing, turquoise/silver labels.

1960 Columbia Records (Cat.No.SAX2369/70/71/72). Condition: Box: Good+ / Discs: Ex / Ex / Vg+ / Ex

Box: graded as Good+, the box is fully intact including the hinge. However there is a large area of significant wear/damage to right side spine of both the lid and bottom. See picture.

Discs: Discs 1, 2 & 4 graded as Ex. Disc 3 as Vg+. Visually all the discs are superb, there are no spindle marks and just a couple of very faint marks over the entire set. Visual grading would be Ex+ and this is conservative.

Playing: There is occasional crackle to some of the quiet parts to all discs hence the lower gradings of Ex. Side 5 and 6 also have some audible clicks hence graded at Vg+ and should not detract from what is overall an incredibly rare set of vinyl.
