Description

This is another sale from my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA. 

 Recording first published 1961 of Uk Columbia SAX 2421 blue/silver label Ballet Music From The Operas played by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Herbert Von Karajan. Sleeve is a flip back. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are YAX 653-4 and YAX 654-4.  

  

Grading 

Would grade the record visually as VG. Side 1 has a number of faint marks and faint scrathes. Side 2 is visually better, a few faint scratches. There is some wear on the spindle hole. It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips or jumps. Just some crackle and pops in places so audio grading would be VG also. Sleeve is Excellent. Some creasing and wear. 

  

Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
