Brahms: A German Requiem
Klemperer/ T.P.O & T.P.C./ (Soloists) Elizabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
(SAX 2430 and SAX 2431 UK 2 x LP 1962)
This is a UK original Stereo 2 x LP pressing which consist of three sides of music. LP 1 has only one playable side. The other side is blank. It has "Columbia Records" "Magic Notes" logo on it. LP 2 has both playable sides. Both LP's have a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large "Stereo" on the front. They come with their original company "Emitex" inner sleeves. One is polythene lined and the other one is tracing paper lined.
The records has "blue and silver" Columbia labels. They have 1st press YAX 757-2, YAX 758-3 and YAX 759-3 matrix numbers. This double LP set is quite rare. I have some other rare UK Classical LP's for sale too.LP 1: (SAX 2430)
Sleeve: There is some mild to moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. This has caused a 1 cm split at the bottom opening. There is some mild to more moderate fading to the rear sleeve. There is some mild laminate lifting at the front spine area too. VG condition.
Vinyl: Light sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. There is one very light 1 cm hairline mark too. NEAR EX condition. The labels are in excellent condition and show very light spindle wear only. Plays VG+ to Near Excellently. There is some light crackle in some of the quieter passages. The company "Emitex" inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light wear but no seam splits.
LP 2: (SAX 2431)
Sleeve: There is some mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some mild rippling to the front sleeve. There is some mild to more moderate fading to the rear sleeve. There is some light rubbing wear to the bottom edge also. VG condition.
Vinyl: Light sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. There are two very small and light hairline marks. VG++ condition. The labels are in excellent condition and show very light spindle wear only. Plays VG+ overall and Near Excellent in many areas. There is some light crackle in some of the quieter passages. There are a few light clicks in a couple of places too. The company "Emitex" inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild wear but no seam splits.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
